about us
What is DECA?
Since its founding in 1946, DECA aims to improve education and career opportunities for students interested in careers in marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. What began with a few hundred students in seventeen states has grown to over 257,330 students in all 50 states, Canada, China, Germany, Poland, Guam, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Spain.
DECA’s Objective
DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in the areas of marketing, finance, hospitality and management in both high schools and colleges around the globe. Marjory Stoneman Douglas DECA
Marjory Stoneman Douglas DECA is one of the largest chapters (over 700 strong) and most respected clubs at MSD. As of April 2024, we are the seventh largest chapter in the world and third largest chapter in Florida. DECA, a co-curricular worldwide organization, is open to all MSD students who are in the NAF Academy of Finance or Academy of Hospitality and Tourism.
All members will have an opportunity to compete at DECA Districts with a chance to win and compete at the Florida Career Development Conference in Orlando, and then at the International Career Development Conference! MSD DECA has been the top chapters to compete in Broward County, and we expect great results as always!
